Pre-Camp Responsibilities

sessions each day. Each session lasts about an hour and a half. Remember to plan as much participation as possible during the clinics. Skills and drills rather than lecture.
- Be aware of the rainy day schedule, if your practices are held outdoors. You may consider using instructional or highlight videotapes as an option. Tennis as well as other sports has equipment that can be used indoors.
- With the help of the POWERCAMP director, you may wish to recruit a coaching staff to work with you. If you recruit help for the week, there is an application that needs to be completed and the coach must be approved.
- Contact the logistics director with equipment needs. You will work with the director in acquiring the needed equipment for your sport.
- Contact coaching staff before camp to talk through the practice schedule. You may also want to ask for their assistance in locating equipment.

- Visit the website for age appropriate drills.
On-Site Responsibilities
- Meet with huddle leaders reviewing responsibilities. Huddle Leaders will serve as your assistants. They will take an active role in teaching and coaching during your practices. They are there for your help. Use them to help give the campers the one on one attention they need.
- Have all equipment and facilities ready to go each day to begin clinics on time.
- We also welcome and encourage you to participate in as much of the POWERCAMP schedule as possible!
- Along with your Huddle Leaders, make notes of some positive things about each camper.
Post Camp Responsibilities

- During PRO-FILE time be available and ready to present certificates and a challenge to your campers. Certificates are provided by the camp director. Be sure to pick them up from the camp director.
- We will provide you postcards to pen a short note to each camper, noting something positive about each, and that you enjoyed representing Jesus Christ and Eastern Iowa FCA.
- Complete a camp evaluation form. And attend the Post-Camp debriefing session, which occurs immediately following camper pick-up on the last day of POWERCAMP
